Almost nothing is better than grabbing a great video game on sale, especially when they’re critically acclaimed first-party PS4 games upgraded for PS5. One such game featuring one of PlayStation’s coolest new characters is discounted right now for a limited time on the PS Store right now.
Grab Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on sale before Ghost of Yotei’s release this year
Developed by Washington-based developer Sucker Punch, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is $29.39 for PS5 on the PS Store. Typically, this game is priced at $69.99 which means PlayStation gamers are saving 58% off the list price. Interested players will want to act fast as this deal is only available through March 7.
“Jin was raised and trained in the ways of the samurai,” reads an official description of Ghost of Tsushima’s story. “When the Mongols handily defeat the samurai forces, Jin’s world is shattered. He is faced with the most difficult decision of his life: honor the tradition and customs of his samurai upbringing and maintain a fight he cannot win, or deviate from his samurai path to protect the island and its people by any means necessary.”
The Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut includes all the extra DLC from the original PS4 release. These include the Legends online co-op mode and the Iki Island expansion. Additionally, the PS5 version is enhanced, flaunting dynamic 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, DualSense controller features, 3D audio with headphones, and lip sync for Japanese voiceover.
When Ghost of Tsushima launched in 2020, it was received well critically. According to review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 83 across 122 critic reviews. It was nominated for several awards at the 2020 Game Awards, including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Audio Design, Best Performance, and Best Action/Adventure Game. It won the awards for Best Art Direction and Player’s Voice.
This is the perfect time to check out Ghost of Tsushima. Its sequel, Ghost of Yotei, is set to launch sometime this year.
