Can you buy the Google Pixel 9a from Google Fi?

Summary: Currently, Google Fi does sell the Pixel 9a and actually offers some really solid deals if you’re planning to stick with Fi Wireless. You could get the Pixel 9a for as low as $300.

Google’s own wireless carrier, Google Fi Wireless, does in fact sell the Pixel 9a. You can pick it up in either 128GB or 256GB, and in all four colors: Peony, Iris, Porcelain, and Obsidian.

Google Fi Wireless is currently offering a deal where you can pick up the Pixel 9a for just $299. That’s $200 off of the regular price, with bill credits. For this discount, you need to activate the Pixel 9a on your line, and keep it there for at least 120 days and keeping your account in good standing – meaning, pay your bill on time. Google says that this promotion is good through April 29, 2025 at 9:59AM PDT.

Despite its delay, the Pixel 9a is still a solid $500 smartphone

The Google Pixel 9a might not turn heads on paper, but don’t let the spec sheet fool you — it’s shaping up to be one of the best phones you can buy for under $500. Especially when you consider that Apple’s iPhone 16e costs $599 and offers far less in return. The Pixel 9a packs the largest battery ever in a Pixel, a massive 5,100mAh, and in our testing, it outlasted every other Pixel to date. It even held its own against heavyweights like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13 — and yes, it actually has a bigger battery than the S25 Ultra.

While Google scaled back the camera hardware this year with a smaller, lower-resolution sensor, the results are still impressive. That’s thanks to Google’s unmatched computational photography, which often shines brightest with modest hardware, exactly like what the Pixel 9a delivers.

If you’re planning to grab one, Amazon is a solid option, though you’ll need some patience. For now, the release date is set for June 1, so you might be waiting a bit before it ships.
