Sony has finally fixed the PS Store wishlist feature on the PlayStation App, which had been busted for quite a while. Earlier today, a new PS Store sale went live, bringing with it discounts on thousands of items. Along with the sale came the pleasant surprise of wishlist notifications actually working as intended.
PS Store Wishlist notifications had been broken for a long time
Those who’ve been using the PS App will know that for quite some time now, PS Store’s wishlist notifications have been nonfunctional. If players added a game to their wishlist, they’d have to manually check if that game was discounted in a new sale by going into the wishlist.
That changed this morning when PS Store’s Dealmania promotion started rolling out. Upon opening the PS App, I received quite a few notifications informing me that some of the games on my wishlist are now on sale, eliminating the need for a manual check or to boot up my PS5.
As someone who uses the PS App and looks for deals on the PS Store quite as bit, I find the notifications very handy as they ensure that players aren’t missing offers that they might be interested in.
Here’s hoping that this fix is permanent.
