Hatsune Miku Vocaloid Art Book Based on Songs Pre-Order Opens
Kadokawa will release a art book that compiles Vocaloid illustrations from the 2023 and 2024 Niconico Chokaigi events. Pre-orders are now open in bookstores around Japan, as well as via online storefronts like Amazon and BookWalker. You can also buy the book in person if you go to the Niconico Chokaigi 2025 event, which will take place on April 26 and 27, 2025. Different storefronts have different pre-order or purchase bonuses. Rakuten Books will give a smartphone background of the cover illustration. The Kadokawa Store and overseas storefronts give an illustration card (with differing designs), whereas Animate gives a reversible A4 visual board. The concept of the art book focuses on the artist’s individual interpretations of the Vocaloid world. The drawings are based off prompts which draw inspiration from songs like “Romeo and Cinderella” and “Hito Mania.” In total, around 120 illustrators contributed a piece to the book. The art book also contains an interviews. There’s one between Kairiki Bear (the producer for songs like “Venom" and “Bug”) and illustrator Nou.
