PS4 Shooter and Its DLC Suddenly Delisted From PS Store

For one reason or another, some games will mysteriously be delisted from the PlayStation Store without any rhyme or reason. This seems to be the case for the Rebellion‘s 2014 shooter, Sniper Elite 3.

According to PlayStation users on PSN Profiles, Sniper Elite 3 and its DLC were delisted from the PS Store. This does seem to only impact the PS4 version of the game, as a player reports in the thread that the PS3 version and all its DLC are still available on the store.

While this is news to PS4 users, this is not the first time Sniper Elite 3 has been delisted. Back in 2023, the Rebellion Shooter was delisted from the Microsoft Store, making the Xbox version not purchasable. As noted by a PSN Profiles user, the developers were aware of the issue but never followed up on the mysterious delisting.

“Snipers, we’re aware of some ongoing issues impacting the ability to purchase Sniper Elite III on Microsoft Stores,” reads an X post from the Sniper Elite account. “Rest assured, we’re doing everything we can to rectify the problem and hope to have a resolve in the near future.”

Rebellion hasn’t commented on Sniper Elite 3’s mysterious PS Store delisting as of this writing.

One theory for why Sniper Elite 3 was delisted from both Microsoft and PS Stores may be the arrival of a remaster. Back in 2019, Rebellion released Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, an enhanced version of the shooter that was originally released in 2012. It may be possible that the developer will release a Sniper Elite 3 remaster in the near future. Of course, that is just speculation.

While Sniper Elite 3 may be delisted, there are several entries still available on the PS Store. The most recent entry, Sniper Elite: Resistance, launched for PS4 and PS5 in January this year.
