HONOR Teases More AI Editing Software for the 400 Series

With the upcoming Honor 400 series phones just on the horizon, the company recently showed off a bit more of the devices’ AI editing features, which include a new AI Image to Video feature that’s built into the OS, in addition to AI-enhancements for photos.

As you can probably tell from its moniker, AI Image to Video lets users take photos of static images and turn them into animated clips. This works for uploaded photos as well, and uses Google’s Cloud technology to generate the five-second clips. While it somewhat leans into the “uncanny valley” territory a bit, it is pretty impressive as far as AI-based animation goes.

The Honor 400 series will feature a 200MP main camera, which the company says has been enhanced with AI-enhanced editing and imaging capabilities. The new devices will also feature a more premium approach to design. As for the rest of the hardware specs (as well as details such as pricing), fans will have to tune into Honor’s big launch event, which is scheduled to go live on May 22.
