An underrated PS4 survival horror multiplayer game is possibly being revived, if a press release by its licensing agent is anything to go by. We’re talking about none other than 2017’s Friday the 13th: The Game, which went on to become a hit with players before licensing issues ended its run.
Horror multiplayer title Friday the 13th: The Game garnered a cult following on the PS4
Despite a mixed reception and flawed execution, Friday the 13th: The Game garnered quite a fan base on PS4, and its closure and delisting didn’t go down well. Now, according to new licensing agent Striker Entertainment, Friday the 13th: The Game will give fans “new ways to connect with the legacy of Jason Voorhees.”
“Under the agreement, Striker, in conjunction with Horror’s CMO Sheri Conn, will oversee global consumer products for Jason Universe, the definitive umbrella brand for the iconic horror franchise,” the statement added.
Friday the 13th game has only been mentioned once in the entire press release, but it has us scratching our heads. Will developer Illfonic be tapped to re-release the game or we talking about a new game? Your guess is as good as ours right now.
We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
