Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Live Hands-On Images & Video

Ahead of tonight’s announcement of the Galaxy S25 Edge, we’ve been able to get some hands-on photos of the Galaxy S25 Edge in comparison to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This appears to be a pre-production unit; however, we can still see how much thinner it is compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is about 8.2mm thick, which isn’t all that thick for a slab phone.

Samsung will offer the Galaxy S25 Edge in three color variants. There appears to be a silver, black, and what is likely the SilverBlue from the Galaxy S25 Ultra lineup. Far fewer colors versus the other Galaxy S25 models, which is expected as Samsung is expected to make far fewer units of the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Samsung is opting for dual cameras on the Galaxy S25 Edge

Surprisingly, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be the first Galaxy S device in quite some time to sport only two rear cameras. Even the cheaper Galaxy S24 FE had three cameras.

We are expecting it to sport a 200-megapixel primary camera that will offer 2x optical zoom via sensor cropping. Along with a 12-megapixel ultrawide. This is likely the exact same primary camera that is used on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is a pretty decent camera, though I do think Samsung could sensor crop a bit more and provide lossless 3x or even 5x clarity.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is also expected to be IP68, meaning that it can take a splash and even be submerged. You’ll be able to take it to the beach without any issues.

Samsung will also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy to power the Galaxy S25 Edge. This is a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is also far more integrated into the device. It provides better performance than other Snapdragon 8 Elite devices.

Pricing for the Galaxy S25 Edge has already leaked in the UK, where it will be £1,099. We’re expecting a similar price here in the US, which would put it above the Galaxy S25 Plus in terms of price.
