Former Xbox Exclusive RPG Is 70% Off on PS Store

A new PS Store deal offers a 70% discount on an intriguing action role-playing game that players should check out. Neon Giant’s The Ascent, which launched as an Xbox console exclusive, largely slipped under the radar on the PS5 and PS4. The cross-gen edition is now just $8.99.

The Ascent PS Store deal also extends to Cyber Edition on PS5, PS4

The Ascent’s Cyber Edition is also 70% off, going for $13.49 until the sale ends in two weeks on May 29. The Cyber Edition includes:

• The Ascent base game
• CyberSec Pack
• Cyber Warrior Pack
• Cyber Heist DLC

The three add-ons are each 50% off in the current sale. The costumes are $2.49 each and Cyber Heist is $4.99. If you want all three add-ons, the Cyber Edition comes out much cheaper.

PS Plus Premium subscribers can stream The Ascent on PS5.

“Welcome to The Ascent Group arcology, a corporate-run metropolis stretching high into the sky and filled with creatures from all over the galaxy,” an overview reads. “You play as a worker, enslaved by the company that owns you and everyone else in your district. One day, you are suddenly caught in a vortex of catastrophic events.”

The Ascent received mixed reviews but was a commercial success for publisher Curve Digital.
