Google Pixel 9a Verizon promo skips trade-ins — skips some colors too

Summary: Verizon announces pricing and promos for the upcoming Pixel 9a, which will go on sale on April 10. Verizon is offering it “on us” with select plans, and no trade-in is required. Unfortunately, Verizon is only offering the device in two colors. 

The Google Pixel 9a will be available on Verizon starting on April 10, 2025. Verizon will only offer it in the Obsidian and Iris colors. Meaning that if you want the Peony or Porcelain color, you’ll want to head to the Google Store for your purchase.

Verizon will be offering the Pixel 9a for $499.99 or $13.88 per month for 36 months.

For the launch of the Pixel 9a, Verizon is offering it for “free” with a new line on any myPlan plan, without a trade-in. You can also switch to Verizon and get four lines for as low as $30/line/month, with Unlimited Welcome and Autopay. Don’t forget that Verizon’s new 3-year price lock is also available. This means that the price that you sign up for with myPlan and myHome will remain the same for 3 years, and that includes adding Satellite Texting for free.

Business customers can also get the Pixel 9a for free with a select data plan and device payment purchase agreement.

Finally, Google is also offering a Gemini AI Premium perk, where you can get the Google One AI Premium as a perk on your myPlan or myHome plan for just $10/month. That’s going to be half the cost of the normal plan. This provides you with Google Gemini Advanced, as well as 2TB of Google One Storage.

Google’s Pixel 9a goes on sale April 10

After a short delay, the Pixel 9a will go on sale on April 10. Its retail price is $499 for the 128 GB model and $599 for the 256 GB. We’re looking at a 6.3-inch display here, the Tensor G4 processor, with 8GB of RAM. It also has the largest battery ever in a Pixel device – at 5,100 mAh. Google says that this should get you 30 hours of battery life, versus 24 hours on the older Pixel devices.
