Instagram Didn't Forget About You: Its Latest Feature is Expanding

Have you ever wanted to make Instagram Reels more fun and interactive? No? Well, the Meta-owned social media company still has a new feature for you. It’s called Blends, and Instagram just announced that it’s expanding to more regions.

You’ve probably heard about this feature. Essentially. Blends allow you to get a custom feed of Reels sent to you based on your and your friends’ watching habits. If you can access the feature, you’ll be able to enter a DM or group chat and set it up.

When you set up a Blend, you’ll receive a feed of Reels in the chat every day with new content mixed in. Since it follows your watch habits, you’ll see Reels that you and your friends are likely to watch. It’s a great feature for people to make their Reels more of a social experience.

If you don’t have it, make sure to update your app. Go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and search for Instagram. From there, look for the Update button. To check if you have it, go to a DM or group chat and look for the Blend icon at the top of the screen.

Instagram announced that Blends are expanding to more people

When the company first unveiled the feature, it was limited only to a few places in the U.S. market. So, much of the Instagram user base was left out. However, more users are reporting that they can access the feature. These include users in both the U.S. and Canada. So, if you’ve tried using it in the past, but you couldn’t, you might want to try again.

When you access your Blend, you’ll just scroll through the feed like you would regularly. At the bottom of the feed, you’ll see a button letting you know who the Reel was originally suggested for. Obviously, you’ll have to be prepared to discover what sorts of weird or depraved content your best friend likes to watch. But hey, it’s all in good fun.
