Lenovo isn’t done with its gaming tablet lineup just yet. According to a new leak, the company is planning to refresh the Legion Tab Gen 3 soon, despite launching the current model earlier this year.
The current Legion Tab Gen 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It features a compact 8.8-inch screen, making it ideal for gaming on the go. Now, Lenovo is reportedly keeping that same size while upgrading nearly everything else.
The biggest change? The new Lenovo Legion Tab refresh will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. That’s a big step up in power, especially with improved ray tracing and better overall performance. It’s exactly what mobile gamers want.
The refresh will also bring a 3K display while maintaining the 165Hz refresh rate. That means visuals will be sharper, smoother, and more immersive. For gamers who skipped the last model, this update might be worth the wait.
But performance isn’t the only thing getting better. The new model is also expected to be thinner and pack a larger battery. Reports suggest it’ll go from 6,650mAh to somewhere between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh.
That could translate to longer play sessions, although the higher-resolution screen may balance that out. Either way, more battery is always a win.
Digital Chat Station reports the launch of the Lenovo Legion Tab refresh is planned for May.
