POCO M7 Pro 5G hits UK market starting at just £159

The POCO M7 Pro 5G just launched in the UK, and at £159 for the base model during launch week, it’s one of the cheapest ways to get a 120Hz AMOLED display and 5G. This isn’t a flagship killer—it’s a spec chaser for people who don’t want to overspend.

Here’s what you can expect

For that price, you’re getting a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 2,100 nits of peak brightness. That makes it the brightest screen POCO has put in an M-series phone so far. It’s paired with Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and a 120Hz refresh rate—more than enough to hold its own for content and casual gaming.

Under the hood, the Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset scores 477,003 on AnTuTu. You get 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, plus another 12GB of virtual RAM if you’ve got storage to spare. Speaking of which, both models come with 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Battery life looks solid thanks to a 5110mAh cell with 45W fast charging. It’s TÜV Rheinland certified to hold above 80% health after 1,600 charging cycles—something we usually don’t hear much about in this range.

On the camera front, it’s a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS and EIS. You also get a 2X in-sensor zoom and a 20MP front camera with AI-powered wide-angle detection for group shots. It’s not flagship-tier, but it’s more than enough for the price.

There’s IP64 water and dust resistance, a plastic back with a bold cutout texture, and three colorways: Green, Silver, and Purple.

Pricing & availability

Pricing for the UK starts at £199 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, or £159 during launch promos on Amazon UK. The 12GB + 256GB model goes for £239, or £179 during the same promo period (April 7–14). You can even snag a free 33W charger if you buy from mi.com during launch week.

This launch comes right after POCO dropped the F7 Ultra and F7 Pro, which pushed the upper end of POCO’s portfolio. If you want something cheaper but still capable, the M7 Pro 5G is clearly aiming to be the go-to pick.
