The OnePlus Pad 3 tablet is finally official. Announced for the US and Canada, it launches on July 8 and packs the kind of hardware and software you’d expect in a flagship device.

Design and specs

First up, the OnePlus Pad 3 tablet goes all-in on design. According to OnePlus, the tablet measures less than six millimeters thin. It features a metal unibody and a single color option: Storm Blue. The tablet squeezes eight speakers (four woofers, four tweeters) into the device. On paper, it should deliver much better sound than your average tablet.

The tablet’s display features a 13.2-inch screen with a 3.4K resolution, 12-bit color, and a pixel density that rivals laptops. It has a 7:5 aspect ratio. This is a little unusual, but it helps with multitasking and split-screen work.

Under the hood, OnePlus is shipping it with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB RAM, and 256GB of storage. There’s also a cooling system with vapor chambers made of graphene composite. Battery life is a big deal here, too. It packs a massive 12,140mAh cell under the hood. It is rated for up to 17 hours of video, 6 hours of AAA gaming, and more than two months of standby. When you run out of juice, you get 80W SUPERVOOC charging and a charger included in the box (something not every tablet brand does anymore).

Software features

Software-wise, the tablet runs OxygenOS 15, with new AI features like AI Writer and AI Summarize for productivity and Google’s Gemini/Circle to Search baked in. The Open Canvas feature lets you drag, drop, and split apps more easily—handy if you’re juggling chats, docs, or maps all at once. OnePlus promises three major Android OS updates and six years of bi-monthly security patches, which is above average for an Android tablet.

Tablet accessories

The tablet also comes with a host of accessories. There’s a new Smart Keyboard with a dedicated AI button and PC-like feel, a new Stylo 2 stylus that recognizes 16,000 pressure levels, and a tri-folding Folio Case that supports multiple angles for drawing or binge-watching. All the extras cost extra, though: the keyboard is $199.99 USD, the case is $49.99 USD, and the stylus is $99.99 USD.

Pricing & availability

The OnePlus Pad 3 tablet goes on pre-order on June 5, with open sales on July 8. It’s $699.99 USD for the tablet itself, available on OnePlus.com and Amazon (US) or Best Buy (Canada). Accessories are only available through OnePlus’s site, at least for now.
