Samsung seems to be ready to launch two new devices in the Galaxy Tab FE lineup. As with the Galaxy phones, the upcoming FE tablets will be more affordable alternatives to the main Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. The launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series is just around the corner, or so the FCC certification for the “Plus” model suggests.

Samsung’s latest launch in this lineup is the Galaxy Tab S9 FE/Tab S9 FE+ (October 2023). It’s possible the next-gen models will arrive more than a year later. The reason why the company has taken longer than usual to launch the Galaxy Tab S10 FE lineup is unknown. However, everything indicates that the wait is almost over.

The FCC certifies the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+

Xpertpick spotted a listing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ in the FCC database. The same variant had previously received its corresponding GCF certification. It’s worth noting that the base Galaxy Tab S10 FE (not Plus) also received approval from both regulatory bodies.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ filing confirms that it will be available in Wi-Fi-only (SM-X620) and 5G (SM-X626B) versions. These have FCC IDs A3LSMX620 and A3LSMX626B, respectively. As with the previous generation, the vanilla model will also support cellular networks in one of its variants.

Considering the certifications these tables have received, Samsung could announce them sometime between late March and early April.

An image attached to the FCC certification confirms that the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ will have a single rear camera. The 5G version will support bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n71, n77, and n78. The tablet measures 300.56 x 194.7 mm and has a large 13-inch display. It will also support 802.11ax Wi-Fi, the S Pen, and storage expansion via microSD cards.

Some key specs leaked

Some recent leaks have revealed some key specifications of these devices. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE will have a 10.1-inch display. On the other hand, and as confirmed by the FCC, the Plus model’s display will reach 13 inches. In both cases, the screen is said to use LCD technology, so (unfortunately) Samsung won’t be making the jump to OLED this generation either.

The Tab S10 FE variant is said to be powered by an 8,000 mAh battery. The Plus variant’s cell capacity is expected to increase to 10,090 mAh. Both support 45W wired fast charging. Samsung could sell both tablets in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants.

Other shared specs include a 13MP rear camera, a 12MP front camera, and Android 15-based One UI 7. Finally, reports indicate that the price of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series will start at $499.
