Samsung has been very active this month revealing official details about the long-awaited stable One UI 7. The South Korean giant recently confirmed that it will begin rolling out the new firmware starting in April. Now, Samsung has revealed the exact date the One UI 7 stable rollout will begin, with a potential surprise for users of 2024 Galaxy foldables.

One UI 7 stable rollout date now available: April 7

According to the official blog post, One UI 7 stable will begin rolling out to eligible devices starting April 7. Since the Galaxy S24 series has been receiving beta updates for months, these phones will be the first to get it. However, it seems the company could start sending the update that same day to other models as well. “The update will be available starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6,” the blog post reads.

It is interesting that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 could receive One UI 7 on the same day. After all, the beta program for these devices only started this month. Perhaps Samsung used the Galaxy S24 series for working on all the heavy lifting of One UI 7. This would be great news, as many were fearing that each device would also be in the beta program for months before receiving the stable update. The blog post also added that the update will be “gradually rolling out to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.”

First batch of Galaxy devices to receive the update

Samsung also confirmed the full first batch of Galaxy phones that will receive stable One UI 7. The list includes the Galaxy S24 series (also FE), Galaxy S23 series (also FE), Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Not all models will start receiving the update on April 7. The list only indicates that these will be the first to receive the OTA. However, there is no specific date for devices other than the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy foldables from 2024.

Recent leaks suggest stable One UI 7 will arrive to older Galaxy flagships in May. The list could include handsets like the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and others. However, there’s no official confirmation yet.

Meanwhile, Samsung is still running the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta program. Currently, only the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Tab S10 have access. The company promised that the mid-range Galaxy A55 will join the party sometime this month.
