Sony WF-C710N Earbuds Bring Better ANC and Battery Without Raising the Price

Sony has unveiled the Sony WF-C710N earbuds, the official successor to last year’s WF-C700N. While the naming still lacks flair, these new budget wireless earbuds bring meaningful upgrades without a price hike—still launching at $119.99, and it’s available for pre-order now.

One of the biggest improvements addresses a major flaw in the previous model: weak active noise cancellation. Sony says the WF-C710N use dual microphones to deliver stronger ANC and improved ambient sound, though they still lack the dedicated processors found in Sony’s flagship earbuds.

Battery life gets a serious boost. With ANC on, the buds alone now last up to 8.5 hours, and the charging case extends total playback time to 30 hours—double the previous model. Turn ANC off, and users can expect up to 40 hours of listening time. Even the quick-charge feature is faster: five minutes in the case gives you an hour of use.

Sony has also overhauled the controls. Instead of physical buttons, the WF-C710N now use customizable touch sensors. These let users play or pause music, take calls, adjust volume, or launch apps, all through Sony’s companion app. The earbuds also include a wear sensor that pauses playback automatically when removed.

The Sony WF-C710N earbuds support Bluetooth multipoint pairing and come with an IPX4 rating for splash resistance. And for those who care about style as much as function, Sony has added a new transparent blue option to the existing black, white, and pink colors.

With upgraded ANC, better battery, modern touch controls, and a competitive price, the WF-C710N offer excellent value—especially for budget-conscious listeners looking for features that were once exclusive to higher-end models.
