With that in mind, Honor recently announced that it’s committed to providing six years of Android updates for its upcoming Honor 400 Series, which will additionally receive the much-anticipated Android 16 upgrade as early as this year. An official statement from the company reads:

Building on its long-standing collaboration with Google, HONOR is among the first to bring the latest Android experience to its users. This collaboration enables HONOR to provide developers with quick access to the latest Android releases, allowing users to experience the most recent and secure Android features without delay.

The company was also among the first brands to release the Android 15 Beta last year, and the most recent Android 16 Beta 3 version has been available to developers on the Honor Magic7 Pro since May 7th. Alongside the Magic7 Pro and 400 series, the HONOR Magic V3 will also receive updates to a MagicOS version based on Android 16 in 2025.
