iOS 19 mockups

We know iOS 19 will launch later this year. We’ll see the usual host of improvements, changes, and new features. However, what makes iOS 19 more exciting than its predecessor, iOS 18, is that Apple is rumored to redesign the UI. YouTuber and leaker Jon Prosser shared some mockups of what those changes look like in a video, but it seems there’s a chance he might be wrong.

The mockups are not completely accurate?

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, he disputed Prosser’s mockups in a post on Threads. He says, “iOS 19 images floating around aren’t representative of what we’ll see at WWDC. They look to be based on either very old builds or vague descriptions, missing key features. Expect more from Apple in June. Regardless, mockups – real or not – are always exciting for Apple watchers.”

Prosser claims in his video that iOS 19 will feature a more rounded aesthetic with glass-like styling. This is supposed to bring iOS 19’s design on par with visionOS. This is similar to what Gurman had reported before.

Gurman had previously claimed that iOS 19 would “fundamentally change” the operating system’s look. However, he did not provide specifics on the changes, except to suggest that iOS 19 could be the biggest redesign since iOS 7. This is quite exciting, especially since Apple hasn’t really made any major changes to the iOS UI for quite a while, except for a few tweaks here and there.

iOS 19 will debut at WWDC

That being said, we’re not sure what we can expect from iOS 19 at the moment. According to the reports, we shouldn’t really expect to see any major Apple Intelligence features. Instead of introducing new features, Apple will instead double down on existing features and integrate them further into native apps.

In any case, while Prosser’s mockups might not be 100% accurate, it could still be a glimpse into what Apple might have planned. Since Gurman says that some are based on old builds, the mockups still have some value to them. Even if it’s just a sneak peek into what Apple was working on.

Apple will share more details about iOS 19 at WWDC 2025. The event is taking place on the 9th of June and you can watch the keynote at 10AM PT/1PM ET via Apple’s website.
