The month of March is coming to an end. With April just around the corner, that means PlayStation’s online subscription service PS Plus is getting another round of free games for subscribers to redeem. This time around, there are three games based on some fairly well-known franchises.
Robocop, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon headline April 2025 PS Plus games
As announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment on the PS Blog, RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory make up the freebies for PS Plus members this April. All three games will be redeemable on April 1, with the offer expiring on May 5. So, there’s plenty of time to procrastinate on grabbing next month’s games.
As three games enter PS Plus’ monthly games lineup, three leave the service. Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will be redeemable until March 31. Once the month turns, players will have to go back to purchasing the three titles.
Interestingly, all three of the April 2025 PS Plus monthly games were critically received similarly when they launched. RoboCop: Rogue City and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which were both released in 2023, received an average score of 72 according to Metacritic. Digimon: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory had an average score of 73 according to the review aggregate site. Although not the best critical reception, it seems there is something to be enjoyed in each title.
That notion is especially true of RoboCop: Rogue City, a first-person shooter that lets players assume the role of the titular character. Although it has some technical hiccups, it has been applauded for its authenticity to the series and character. Developer Teyon even got Peter Weller to reprise his role as RoboCop. A stand-alone expansion titled Unfinished Business is set to launch this summer for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
