The update includes the ability to use the Essential Key as a shutter button while using the camera app. The Essential Key is a new hardware addition to the 3a and 3a Pro, and was originally introduced as a shortcut button of sorts to launch the phones’ AI software features.
The software patch also includes other updates for the camera such as a more intuitive zoom interaction, correction of reddish skin tones in front-facing selfies, enhanced white balance in rear camera indoor scenes, better clarity and tone for portraits in backlight conditions, and improved focusing accuracy at 2x zoom in the case of the 3a Pro.
