Does Motorola Razr 2025 have an SD Card slot?

The new Motorola Razr is here, in three flavors. For 2025, Motorola is releasing the Razr in a regular variant, a Plus, and an Ultra. The Plus was known as the Ultra outside of the US in recent years, but this year, the Plus is exclusive to the US.

So the big question here is, does the Razr 2025 have an SD card slot? And the answer is no, unfortunately. This isn’t a big surprise, seeing as most flagship phones have ditched the SD card over the past decade or so. A big reason for this is, moving parts, and it would allow water to get in, making the phones no longer waterproof. Additionally, SD cards are typically slower, so the phone would feel much slower storing photos and videos on the SD card.

When does the Motorola Razr 2025 launch?

In the US, the three Motorola Razr models will open for pre-orders on May 7, with them being available on May 23. In Canada, pre-orders also open on May 7, but they won’t be available until June 3.

This year, the Motorola Razr is a really nice set of phones. Ranging from $699 to $1299. Of course, most of us have our eyes on the Razr Ultra, since the other two are barely changed from a year ago. However, the Razr Ultra does finally have a flagship experience. The Snapdragon 8 Elite, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. It really puts Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 to shame, though it is also about $200 more than Samsung’s offering right now.

Motorola is also continuing its recent trend of bold, vibrant colors and different materials. Motorola is using leather-like material for most of the Razr this year. As well as a suede-like material. This is so that the phones are still water-resistant at IP48. There is also an Alcantara finish and a wood finish on the Razr Ultra this year.
