Motorola Edge 60, 60 Pro key specs confirmed by TENAA

Summary: Motorola’s upcoming Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro smartphones have been certified by the Chinese agency TENAA. The listings in the regulatory authority’s database have revealed the key specifications of the new Motorola offerings. Furthermore, they include some photos of the devices.

A couple of days ago, Motorola introduced its latest Edge series smartphone, called the Edge 60 Fusion. Now, the Lenovo-owned company is planning to launch a couple more phones in the lineup, including the Edge 60 and 60 Pro. Ahead of the launch, both phones have leaked through renders, live images, and promotional videos.

Now, the Chinese certification agency TENAA has certified both the Motorola Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro smartphones. The certifications have revealed key details regarding the upcoming mid-range Motorola devices.

Motorola Edge 60 & 60 Pro listed on TENAA

TENAA has certified the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro under the model numbers XT2505-4 and XT2507-5, respectively. As per the listings, both phones have a 6.67-inch OLED screen panel with curved sides. The specifications reveal a resolution of 1,220p, and the design incorporates a fingerprint sensor located underneath the screen.

They will have a largely similar design with protruding camera islands at the rear. The Edge 60 Pro also appears to have a hardware button on the left-hand side, which we expect to be a Moto AI key.

Processor, memory configurations, camera, and battery specs also revealed

Furthermore, the TENAA listings suggest that the Edge 60 will use an unknown 2.5GHz octa-core chipset. As for the Edge 60 Pro, it will have a 3.35GHz chipset, which could be the Dimensity 8350 SoC. Both will have up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of native storage. The Edge 60 has a 5,500mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging, while the Pro edition has a larger 6,000mAh power cell that supports 90W fast charging.

For imaging, the Edge 60 has a 50MP main camera at the rear, aided by a 10MP secondary snapper and a 50MP third lens. There’s a 50MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling purposes. On the other hand, TENAA confirms that the Edge 60 Pro has a 50MP main lens and a 13MP secondary camera. There’s no word regarding the third rear shooter. The filing also reveals that the Edge 60 Pro will support 3x optical zoom and will be equipped with a 32MP selfie camera.

Since leaks have revealed most details about the Motorola Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro, we can expect an official announcement soon. As of now, it’s not clear if the company will launch these phones in the US or not.
