The Moto G56 5G gets certified by the FCC and TUV Rheinland ahead of launch
Today, folks over at XpertPick spotted a new Motorola phone with model number XT2529-1 on the FCC website. The IMEI number of the device spotted in the FCC’s document revealed the codename “Bogota.” The speculation comes as the same codename was associated with the Moto G56 5G when it appeared on Geekbench.
The FCC documents further reveal that the said model supports multiple 5G bands, such as n2, n5, n7, n26, n38, n41, n66, n77, and n78. In addition, the device also supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11ac (aka Wi-Fi 5). Not to forget, the FCC listing also details several power adapter versions, such as MC-331L, MC-332L, MC-333L, and more.
The listing on the FCC website further indicates that the alleged Moto G56 5G model will pack the RB52 battery. Apart from the FCC, the device with model number XT2529-1 has also popped up on the TUV Rheinland certification site. Interestingly, it appeared with the same charger and battery models, revealing that the charger supports a 33W charging speed. Whereas, the device will likely equip a 5,100mAh battery.
Expect the device to use a variant of the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC
Besides being spotted on the FCC, the Geekbench listing hinted that the Moto G56 5G will pack a variant of the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC under the hood. The device will likely come with 8GB of RAM and boot Android 15-based Moto UI skin out of the box. All that said, there’s no information about the display, cameras, storage, or design of the upcoming smartphone. More recently, a big leak also leaked the upcoming Razr 60 Ultra’s design from all sides.
