Summary: Samsung has announced that a new Gemini Live software update is bringing the camera-enabled real-time visual AI features to the entire Galaxy S25 series of phones. Beginning April 7th, Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing capabilities will be available to all Galaxy S25 series users completely free.
Samsung has launched a new real-time visual AI experience for the Galaxy S25 series of smartphones. Thanks to a new Gemini Live update, the Galaxy S25 series will provide real-time visual artificial intelligence features. These allow you to interact with Google’s Gemini Live AI assistant by using your Galaxy S25’s camera.
Galaxy S25 users can now use Gemini Live’s real-time visual AI and screen sharing
Starting today, the Galaxy S25 series smartphone users can experience new visual conversation capabilities through a software update. Through Gemini Live, the Galaxy S25, 25+, and S25 Ultra (review) users can now more naturally engage in conversational interactions.
You can now press and hold the side button of your S25 to show Gemini Live what its camera sees. At the same time, you can interact with it in a live conversation.
“Together with Google, we are marking a bold step toward the future of mobile AI, delivering smarter interactions that are deeply in sync with how we live, work and communicate,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.
Many possibilities for the real-time visual AI features
The Galaxy S25’s new real-time visual AI features have many possibilities. You can use your Galaxy S25’s cameras to receive personalized styling advice. For example, if you’re unsure of what type of shoes go with the dress you’ve picked out. Then, you can simply point your phone’s camera at the dress and ask the Gemini Live assistant something like, “Do these shoes look good with this dress?”
Gemini Live is intelligent enough to understand what the phone’s camera sees and draw upon its learning to provide a relevant answer. You can use these features to reorganize your closets. Besides, you can use the screen sharing feature while browsing online retailers to receive personalized style advice.
Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing capabilities has started rolling out for all Galaxy S25 series phone users completely free. Also, older flagship Galaxy smartphone users can soon expect to access the same features.
