Pokemon TCG Pocket Merchandise Will Appear in Japan

The Pokemon Company revealed a new lineup of merchandise themed after Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. It will sell these items in its Japanese physical and online Pokemon Center stores in early April 2025. The primary highlights of this lineup will be the Paper Theater sets that emulate the special backgrounds that appear in rare versions of the Pikachu ex, Charizard ex, and Mewtwo ex cards. It will also include a strap that literally lets the buyer attach a Pikachu ex card on the back side of their smartphone. This lineup also comes with a big caveat. The Japanese Genetic Apex packs and the Pokemon coins you see in the above image are not actual products, as they will only appear as stickers packed inside a zipper pouch. The buyer can, however, technically emulate the in-game coins by applying the coin stickers on the actual playing coins.
