Summary: Amazfit has announced the Bip 6 smartwatch as the successor to 2023’s Bip 5. The company’s new wearable offers most of the health-tracking features and a massive battery life at a more competitive price tag than rivals. Support for phone calling over Bluetooth is one of the main highlights of the new watch.

Amazfit has expanded its range of smartwatches by launching the Bip 6. This is the successor to the Amazfit Bip 5, which was introduced in 2023. Amazfit’s new product features a lightweight design, advanced health tracking features, and a two-week battery life.

Amazfit Bip 6 replaces the LCD screen in the Bip 5 with an AMOLED display

A 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a 2,000 nits peak brightness is one of the biggest highlights of the Bip 6. The Bip 5 offers a slightly smaller 1.91-inch screen with a TFT LCD panel. Furthermore, it has a built-in ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment based on your surroundings. The new wearable boasts a sturdy aluminum alloy frame and 5 ATM (50 meters) water resistance.

Amazfit has loaded the Bip 6 smartwatch with a built-in microphone and a speaker to provide support for Bluetooth phone calling. Similar to the previous Amazfit wearables, the new offering also has calendar reminders, call notifications, sedentary reminders, music control, camera control, and smartphone app notifications.

Amazfit claims that the new Bip watch’s 340 mAh battery is capable of delivering up to 14 days of battery life with regular use. It drops down to six days with heavy use.

Advanced health-tracking sensors and 140+ sports modes

As expected, the new Amazfit Bip smartwatch offers a BioTracker PPG biometric sensor and the usual slew of health and fitness-tracking features. It offers 24×7 continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood-oxygen level measurement, and stress monitoring. Besides, the new watch supports more than 140 indoor and outdoor sports activities.

Furthermore, the smartwatch can track women’s menstrual cycles. The health-centric tech brand has included Wild.AI features, which offer exercise, diet, and recovery recommendations to females using their hormonal cycles. Other highlights include a built-in GPS, downloadable maps, voice controls, and an updated Zepp app. You can pair it with devices running Android 7.0 and above or iOS 14.0 and higher.

In terms of pricing, the company has set the Bip 6 at $79.99 in the US. It is available from Amazfit’s website and Amazon in black, charcoal, stone, and red hues.
