Day 1125 : Waste
liner notes: Saturday : Stopped by the post office to send a test pressing to a person before heading to the station. Did the show and had a great time as usual. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com Sunday : Went to try and start the study sessions over at https://untilit.works and noticed that one of my Web Components wasn't showing. Basically there was an issue with the CDN I was using that broke something. To verify, I am using another Web Component with the same CDN in a newer project and switched to another CDN and deployed the changes. It started working again. The issue with the study sessions site is that the last time I updated the code was like 3 years ago. It's kind of a process to get it updated. I have to install some things locally to be able to build the application and deploy it. My lastest projects, I can just make a change to the code in GitHub and it will then build and deploy automatically. I didn't want to got through all that because there were other things I wanted to do so I just cancelled the sessions. I still got some stuff done. In addition to the normal tasks, I finished cutting all the insulation boards for the printer enclosure. Not a bad day. Professional : Felt good coming back into work after taking a few days off. Spent some time catching up watching recordings of meetings I missed. Had a meeting with my manager to talk about this week. Then I worked on some sample applications using Web Components. Personal : Making some progress on the shed. I bought some insulation tape to seal up some gaps from my terrible job cutting the insulation panels. haha I'm surprised everything fits and is staying together. I believe I have enough left overs to put under some printers to keep them stable. It looks like I even have enough for the floor of the enclosure I made for the large format printer. Awesome. So another 3D printer is going to be released tomorrow. From the stuff that has been announced so far, it's looking pretty good. It has some features of the large format printer that I bought, so it would be good to have 2. The main thing is that I'm looking forward to is having 2 nozzles. That way it will cut down on a lot of waste. There's some stuff I wanted to print, but held off because of the waste it would produce. Once I get the large format printer assembled and up and running, that'll be one of the first things I print. That's right after I print the equipment that I need to figure out how to attach some translucent panels to the printer enclosure. They'll need to be longer than what my current printer can do so I don't need to print as many pieces and try to join them together. Going to go through tracks for the radio show and head to bed early so I can wake up and make sure to get an order in for the new 3D printer. It's a business expense and I just so happen to have an extra space for it in my enclosure. I am also going to order some organizers for the shed so I can start putting stuff away. I need to unbox the printer and a cutting machine, but bought a shelf thing so that I can have them on top of each other to save table space. Going to get to work. Have a great night! peace piece Dwane / conshus https://dwane.io / https://HIPHOPandCODE.com
