Suntory announced that it will hold a new crossover campaign between its coffee brand Boss and Pokemon Trading Card Game. The new campaign will run through the Spring season of 2025, and it will feature the Pokemon Team Rocket boss Giovanni, who is originally known in the Japanese releases as Sakaki. The first campaign will launch on the @_craftboss X account on Monday, April 21, 2025. Suntory will publish a specific tweet on that day. People who are residing in Japan then have until May 9, 2025, to follow the account and repost the tweet to join the sweepstake, which will reward a jacket with the Giovanni crossover logo to five winners. Each can will feature a Team Rocket Pokemon card, and it will also have QR code that the buyer can scan to enter another campaign. Two weeks later on May 20, 2025, the company will release packs of two coffee bottles at 656 yen. The packs, which are pictured at the top of this article, will also contain a Pokemon TCG promo supporter card of Giovanni. This card will let the user swap between Team Rocket Pokemon cards on their active and bench slots, and afterward choose one of the opponent's benched Pokemon to be swapped as well.
