PS Plus Users Should Play New Free Game Before Upcoming Release

PS Plus Essential April 2025 lineup is rolling out now, and it comes with a hit game that we urge members to check out. RoboCop: Rogue City — which headlines April’s monthly games — has been well-received by players, and later this year, it’ll receive a stand-alone expansion.

PS Plus game RoboCop turned out to be a surprise hit in 2023

Players would be forgiven for overlooking RoboCop: Rogue City when it launched. The game received a Metacritic average score of 72/100 for the PS5 version. However, those who gave RoboCop a chance were pleasantly surprised by it, leading to a more positive user reception that culminated in the game becoming a commercial success.

RoboCop might not be game-of-the-year material, but it offers solid gameplay and visuals. As an added bonus for trophy hunters, the game’s Platinum trophy is fairly straightforward and fun. PS Plus members certainly shouldn’t skip this one, especially since it’s available at no additional cost.

As for the stand-alone expansion, RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is scheduled to launch sometime in 2025 and can be wishlisted on the PS Store now. It’ll continue where the base game left off.
