Dark mode is coming to Google Photos for web

It seems that more people like dark mode than light mode, and this is why pretty much every app or service has one. Google has had one for the mobile version, but the website remained as white as snow. Well, according to a new report, dark mode is finally coming to the Google Photos site.

People who have been waiting for this won’t need to wait for much longer. Google started advertising dark mode on the site earlier this year, and people were excited. While most people use the mobile version, there are those who still use the website. There are people who find it easier to transfer photos from their phone to their computers using the Google Photos website.

People sometimes prefer to use dark mode for their apps because of the reduced eye strain. Also, their display won’t burn their eyes when they look at it right after waking up. The main reason is that it just looks pretty cool, especially if you’re rocking an OLED display.

Google Photos for the web is getting dark mode

While we’ve been able to enjoy dark mode on our phones for a while, websites are still gaining this ability. This is because people typically use their mobile apps more than websites.

When you get this feature, you’ll be able to choose your theme in the settings. The option will be right below the content quality section. You’ll either be able to choose between light and dark themes, and you’ll also have the option to apply your device’s theme. This will give you just a little more control over the overall look.

At this point, Google is still rolling it out. So, you will most likely need to wait for the feature to reach your account. We don’t know how long it will take, but you should expect to see it within the next couple of weeks.
