OnePlus has started to roll out a new update to its one and only foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open. This update is marked as OxygenOS 15.0.0.700, and the update has kicked off in India. It will soon spread to other markets, though, if it hasn’t already.
The OnePlus Open gets the resizable folders feature thanks to a new update
There are quite a few entries included in the changelog here, most of them in the ‘System’ section. The main new feature that the update brings is the ability to resize folders.
Folders on the home screen can now be resized by dragging to 1×2 or 2×1. OnePlus has also added the option to adjust the size of 2×2 third-party widgets for visual consistency. The option sits under Settings -> Home screen & Lock screen -> Optimize widget appearance.
OnePlus has also added the option to rename app groups. The animations for notifications have also been improved, the same goes for Quick Settings animations.
The company has also improved the widget design for Zomato and Blinkit in Shelf in order for those apps to communicate the app status a bit better. The music player controls in Live Alerts have been approved, for Spotify, at least.
This update also improves the process of resetting your privacy password. You can now use your account to reset your password and regain access to your private data.
A new security update is also a part of the offering
The Wi-Fi network switching and mobile data roaming has been improved, the company said. This update also delivers the March 2025 Android security update to the OnePlus Open.
The update is rolling out in stages in India, but it’s coming to other global markets very soon. It could already be rolling out by the time you’re reading this.
